Detailed Description

This unique book supports the exhibition ‘Transformations: Dialogue(s) between therapy and art’, based on research by Alison Rouse, exploring the links between personal and professional creativity in therapeutic work. Bringing together a selection of artworks alongside the work of Dr Rosie Stenhouse, whose research into patients’ experiences on a psychiatric ward is represented by a series of poems. Both researchers share an appreciation of the power of creative forms of expression to communicate and engage the reader/viewer on a different level to more traditional academic presentations.
